Krestine Maria Harboe Lorentzen, born 1977, is an artist based in Aarhus, Denmark, and a graduate of 2016 from Aarhus Art Academy.  Harboe’s artwork has been shown both in Denmark and internationally in 17 and 18 The Wuchangshuo Memorial Hall Museum, Shanghai and in Kunstgarasjen Norway, and she has been accepted for juried art shows such as The Artists’ Easter Exhibition (KP), Aarhus, and The Artists’ Summer Exhibition (KS), Tistrup. Harboe has been supported by The State Art Foundation in Denmark.

In her practice, she uses different ceramic materials in combination with everyday items and organic matter to create sculptural objects. By employing a variety of ceramic techniques, from coiling and throwing, to working with plaster moulds, free-form, and dipping, Harboe interprets and examines nature’s forms. In doing so, she engages in an ongoing dialogue with both clay and found objects, as she works with layer upon layer, mixing the different methods. There is a freshness and spontaneity to the work and traces of the processual are often visible in the final pieces. Elements of storytelling and Nordic mythology, and clime changes characterise many of the individual works. Harboe is represented by Charlotte Fogh Gallery, Aarhus, Denmark and Arden Asbeak Gallery, Copenhagen, Denmark
